Paranormalcy Review

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White

Published August 31, 2010 by HarperTeen

Publisher's Note: Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours.

But Evie’s about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.

So much for normal.

My Review: Fascinating book! Honestly, I don't have a lot of time to read these days, this one just had me hooked from the front cover to the back cover. Definitely a must read for any YA or paranormal fan. Character development was strong and plot was great. I totally enjoyed Evie's sense of humor. For a teen who is so not in touch with who she is she's a very strong young girl. Her desire to learn is amazing. She wants so bad to just be a normal high school teen. (Lockers, Kissing a boy, getting a drivers license, and PROM!) Her interaction with adults (human, paranormal or immortals) was great. Evie experiences the loss several key people in her life, but that doesn't stop her from fighting for what's right.

Totally loved this book!

This book is definitely one that I'd recommend.
